Yuppie Olive Juice

Recipie

We're very particular about our libations, and with martini's, no standard olive juice will do.  Here's the recipe we use to make our own Yuppie Olive Juice, for use in our Dirty Martini's. 


Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Distilled White Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Kosher Salt
  • 2.5 cups Purified Water
  • 30-40 "Pressed" Olives


Select a jar of green, pitted, olives.  Discard the juice (or use it in your third or fourth martini of the evening so you can't tell how much worse it is than what you're making now). Use a wooden spoon to press/crush the olives (to release juices), then put them into a quart sized mason jar.  This will be the base of your Yuppie Olive Juice.


  • Add 2 tablespoons of kosher salt and vinegar
  • Add 2.5 cups of Fiji bottled water (don't just use your tap)


Seal in all that goodness and shake for a solid minute (we played Shake Your Booty for our theme music).


Refrigerate.  The longer it sits the better it is, but at a minimum let it age in your refrigerator for two weeks.
You can reuse your crushed olives more than once, we took these pictures on our second batch of juice. 


We like our martini's dirty.  Our ratio is 3 shots of Grey Goose Vodka to 1.5 shots of Yuppie Olive Juice.  Garnished with some blue cheese stuffed olives (for best results you're going to have to stuff your own - our recommended brand).  Enjoy!!!
