Refresher Training
First Aid/CPR/AED refresher training provide invaluable lifesaving skills. They empower individuals to respond promptly and effectively in emergencies, including cardiac arrest. These trainings teach high-quality CPR, proper AED use, and injury stabilization techniques. Refreshing these skills enhances safety awareness and boosts confidence in handling critical situations. By delivering immediate care, individuals can increase survival chances and minimize complications. First Aid, CPR, and AED skills also contribute to community well-being and workplace safety. NOTE: An American Red Cross Certificate is NOT issued as part of refresher training.

I’m often asked, “How does First Aid & CPR fit into Yacht Yuppies?” I laugh as the two primary services we provide are the two services that everyone needs, but no one ever wants to use (CPR and Insurance).
After playing volleyball at the University of Pittsburgh, I started my career in coaching. First, as an assistant at Duquesne University, then as the head coach at Fordham University. When I got out of coaching, I knew I still wanted to do something with a “coaching” element.
Brian and I took our American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED course and we both thought to ourselves, why didn’t we do this earlier. This training was so important as it gave us the knowledge to possibly save a life. We then both became American Red Cross Instructors and I began “coaching” again.
I found that First Aid/CPR requirements exist in many professions, including mariners. First Aid/CPR training was a requirement for our Captain’s license, as well as the Coast Guard Auxiliary Boat Crew program. That is the Yacht Yuppie tie in :)
